hi guys... i'm still here, just email on the fritz, as is my garage opener, as are all the electronic clocks in the house... josh usually takes care of all this stuff but he's been on the road again ALLLLLLLLL week without even coming home at midnight ... i'm realizing that my exhaustion and frustration are due to 2 major problems:
a) josh is never home
b) josh is never home (and that means that even when i can fall asleep, i'm only "half asleep" as i want to make sure that everyone is alive). also, the kids are waking up earlier lately - like amiel - and my friend figured it out - it's the summer and the light that is waking them up. i have to figure out how to buy new blinds that block out more light.
also, our living room blinds keep breaking and we have to get new ones. i'm thinking that given our budget this year, cheepie venetian blinds are the way to go. any thoughts on that?
so last night as malka was eating dinner she was so overtired from never sleeping that she fell off the chair. she's fine - but in the process of rescuing her while holding shai, i lunged for her and pulled something in my back/neck area (you think i'm a little stressed?)
but thank g-d i have angels for neighbors and as i was taking them to the park i called my neighbor's daughter (dassi ) and she and her brother, donni, miraculously showed up at the park a few minutes later. they then proceeded to help me for about an hour and a half to help me put both kids to bed. this morning huvie (their mom) called to see if i needed more help. thank g-d, i didn't, but you better believe that i'll be allowing dassi to come over and do her "chesed hour" tonight that she does on a weekly basis. thank g-d for cleveland's sweetness.
i wish i lived near more family for moments like this... but this venting session with all you guys has helped. thanks for listening and caring (even if it's virtual).
hopefully shabbos will be my antedote for all things bad (and josh will do EVERYTHING related to the house/kids this weekend),
love y'all,
dan

oy, you're a mess!
ReplyDeleteuse a heating pad whenever you can.
also, we use a dark bedsheet on the girls' bedroom window (it's just hanging under their regular drapes) to block out the sunlight.
only 2.5 more days!!
just hang in there, dan! we're all thinking about you.
ReplyDeleteoiy, poor dan. kills me to read your blog...kids sound super. don't know how others do it with their spouses away. lots of ppl do that here -- husband travels to london or wherever for the whole week while wife stays with the 4 kids in modiĆn.
