what amazes me is how you all insert info into the blog. . i must learn how to do that!
to all mothers. happy day. hope your husbands and children do something special for you. (we know that amiel is eating his mother's chocolates).
i was thinking about bubie mania today. many years ago when i was about 4 or 5 i had nothing to give bubie for mother's day. i happened to be outside of our house and was crying. a special very nice old man, george, the gentile next door, saw me. he invited me into his garden to pick whatever i wanted so that i would have a gift for my mother. that was the first time i saw the flower called bleeding hearts. a delicate frond with little pink heart shaped droplets. i have loved that flower ever since. and think of george, and bubie mania every mother's day. i planted bleeding hearts last year in this garden and they are in bloom today. makes me very nostalgic.
oh, yes i remember how delighted bubie was with that gift. she was so very beautiful then.
so, for the children out there....it doesn't take much to make a mother happy.
enjoy your day.
